Bell Inn, Oswestry

Nice little boozer... good choice of ale and football coverage.

Ye Olde Boot Hotel, Whittington

Lovely pub, good beer, location and very nice food. Unfortunately, the rudeness of the barstaff let the place down. Our party wrote a letter of complaint and received a snooty reply with no apology.
A shame!

8/10 for the pub
0/10 for the pub customer relations

Jabez Clegg, Manchester

Used to work in the Uni building behind JCs and played many many games of pool here and drank many many many pints. The decor and seating boothes in the main room could do with an upgrade but the beer is cheap and reasonable quality (discounted for Uni staff and loyalty card holders)..sometimes some guest beers are on tap.. otherwise choice is limited. On friday nights the bop upstairs is a laugh despite the sticky floors. Very large screen for sporting events... I like this place despite it's shortcomings.

Sandbar, Manchester

Fantastic choice of beer (continental bottled and draft) often has Phoenix Navy on tap and all beers kept well. Has a very nice atmosephere and beer is competitively priced. Highly recommended!!

The Kro Bar, Manchester

Good choice of beer (continental and cask) however cask ale is not always kept well. Nice beer garden and upstairs areas but seating downstairs is cramped to say the least. Food can be inconsistent and beer is overpriced too. The sandbar is a better alternative in my opinion.

The Lass O'Gowrie, Manchester

Great pub located just around the corner from the BBC. When I worked in Manchester Uni this was a regular haunt. Great choice of cask beers and well kept. Food also very good and reasonably price + sky sport and a small non smoking room. Thanks for many good times!!

The Marble Arch, Manchester

Fantastic pub. One of the best in Manchester. Always has large variety of beer inc. marble beers which are always well kept.

Tony Blair would probably disapprove.
Everytime I go to this pub I get bladdered!

Cross Foxes, Gobowen

Reasonable ale and great for if you are waiting for the Shrewsbury train - seating area out front and rail crossing barrier on road gives a 3 minute warning to drink up! Or you could just stay and get the next train.

The Coach and Horses, Shrewsbury

Had some arizona for the first time here recently. Very nice indeed. I used to frequent this pub when I was at shrewsbury sixth form and not that much has changed. Great boozer!!

The Compasses Inn, Bayston Hill

Great pub but landlord was a bit strict on closing times previously... may have improved since licensing laws have been eased.
