The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage

Further to previous comment, it feels very much like a friendly, busy, buzzing pub to me. Also, lots of music to be found - blues and jazz on Tuesdays and folk on Fridays.

The Half Moon, Oxford

The Half Moon is a small, friendly and pleasantly ecclectically decorated pub. They regularly have folk music sessions and there's a piano in one corner of the bar. It is a busy, city centre pub, so expect a lot of students some nights.

The Dolphin Inn, Combe Martin

This pub has slightly unpromising exterior, I thought at first. The front is dominated by very large windows and that looks slightly odd for a pub. However, it becomes more obvious when you sit inside, as it gives you a lovely view out over the bay.

The Doombar was smashing. Food was good and reasonably priced. It was fairly busy on a Sunday night at beginning of September.

The Bell Inn, Ducklington

Lovely atmosphere and a good range of vegetarian options! There are monthly folk music sessions here (1st Sunday of the month), but it's a shame that they only service Greene King (badged as Morland, usually) beers. I geniunely enjoy coming to this pub, but I do usually opt to drink something other than beer.

The Abingdon Arms, Wantage

Last night the real ales were St Peter's Golden (lovely and it ran out during the evening, so lots of other people thought so too), GK Fireside (a lot more flavour than most GK ales, but there's still something a bit unsatisfying about the after taste) and Morland Original. Good atmosphere and the folk music session was great fun!

The Radnor Arms, Coleshill

Lovely pub! Good selection of real ales (4 as I recall) several brewed on the premises, and a cider brewed in the village. Very decent food, good value for money and good choice for vegetarians. I had a ratatouille in flat mushrooms. I'll certainly be going back.
