The Gipsy Moth, Greenwich

awful awful service. the staff have no direction or work ethic whatsoever.. the food is pretty good and the bar and beer garden is really really nice.. its just a shame really about the service because they have a great range of wine beers and bar snacks.. yea, you can be waiting in the corner with no hope of getting served for 10mins sometimes easily

Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich

Am afraid I'd have to report just like the last few reviews here.
This pub is badly laid out and has a terrible terrible menu.. probably one of the worst i've ever seen in any pub anywhere. Any bit of TLC would dort this place out in a heartbeat but it jsut doesn't seem to be forthcoming. Absolutely has the best location probably in Greenwich but just doesnt seem to want to do anything over the bare minimum to retain it's customer base and is happy with it's passing tourist trade. abysmal.

The Cutty Sark Tavern, Greenwich

Great food, lovely Sunday roast, especially the lamb shank.
really annoyingly when the management changed hands last year the wine list seemed to change for the absolute worst also.. the quality went down to paint striper and the price went up by 2/3.. very annoying. We absolutely wouldn't order a bottle of wine in here again. The position on the river is really good.. you can enjoy a beer in the summer on their picnic tables.. it's just a pity their wine is so awful, it should be an absolute mainstay in a gorgeous pub like this.

The Yacht, Greenwich

Recently this pub has moved, in our humble opinion from about 10th to 1st in the Greenwich pub league table. Given that we're locals we go to quite a few in the area for a bit of food or a quiet drink.

The Drink was never a problem with lovely beer and really good wines..
The food however was awful and the layout was all wrong rendering most of the middle part of the pub unwelcoming..

A change in layout making full use of the gorgeous open fire makes every inch of the pub now really accessible.. But by far the biggest improvement is the food.. In a month I've eaten the Tower Burger 4 times on the way home.. I've also had the lasagne which was gorgeous altogether..

A really lovely inviting homely cosy pub, with great views, great music and great food..

forget any reviews prior to the new menu that came in in November 2009 and give it another shot.. please please please keep it up.. 10 all round
