The Split Chimp, Newcastle

The River Tyne is formed by the combination of two rivers named the "North Tyne" and the "South Tyne".
The North Tyne begins its life close to the Scottish border just to the north of an expanse of water named "Kielder Water".
The South Tyne starts its journey as a myriad of tiny streams on Alston Moor in Cumbria and passes through the towns of Haltwhistle (The geographic centre of Britain) and Haydon Bridge.
The two rivers converge at Warden Rock close to Hexham.
The River Tyne then flows past Hexham, through Corbridge and Ovingham to the important industial city of Newcastle which is home to the "Split Chimp".

The Thatched House, Poulton Le Fylde

I was having a lousy time in blackpool because all the pubs are crap and a rip off and full of drunken stag and hens. So I took a train ride to a small nearby town called poulton-le-fylde where all the pubs were great. This was the pick of the bunch.Six real ales on, a roaring fire and great atmosphere. So the moral of this tale is - If you are in blackpool go somewhere else.

The Crispin, Windsor

This was my first pub in my Windsor pub crawl. I drank my pint of Windsor Losers Ale (WLA) which was extremely enjoyable and then took the 500 yard walk to the next pub.

The Crispin, Windsor

I entered the Crispin. My second pub on the Windsor pub crawl I ordered a pint of Thames Murky and sat in the corner and read my bus timetable. It was a huge contrast to the first pub (the carpet was a different colour).

The Crispin, Windsor

This was my third pub on my Windsor pub crawl. I ordered a delicious pint of Windsor Castle Firestarter which was delicious. I spoke to a nice lady and she told me to go away, so I headed for the next pub in my crawl.

The Crispin, Windsor

The next pub on my Windsor pub crawl was the Crispin. I think this was my favourite. I ordered a pint of Camillas Love Juice (a blonde ale with a good head and a sweet moist finish). I asked directions to the next pub and the barman said "dunno", I took this to mean turn left.

The Crispin, Windsor

I entered the last pub on my Windsor pub crawl. I never realised that it was a three mile walk. Although I had never been here before the pub looked vaguely familiar. I had sudden sense of daja vu. I finished my pint, turned left and I was back in Stockport.

The Cocoanut, Kingston Upon Thames

There is no A in coconut.
You southern people ought to learn to spell.
There is some hope for you though.
The word THE is spelt correctly.

The Feathers Hotel, Ludlow

The next time I am in Ludlow I will walk into this pub, fart and then leave without buying a drink.
I would urge other people to do the same.

The Old Monkey, Manchester

The Old Monkey is fairly OK. The beer is well kept and cheap. Friendly staff and good service.
I am going to award this pub eight.

Great pub. 4 handpulled beers and great food. Good location and the accommodation is pretty good too. The hill is a bit steep though.
