The Vine (Bull & Bladder), Brierley Hill

Fantastic pub, great atmosphere and really good beer. Definately worth making the trip to visit

The Crooked House, Gornal Wood

Visited this pub for the first time in several years. While the building is still fantastic and it is great fun to get the marble from the bar to examine the tilt, the service was poor and the atmosphere weak. Like previous posters we were forced to have plastic glasses outside, even though it was only 3 pm in the afternoon, whilst inside we had to ask the barman to stop playing the same song on repeat over and over again - he did this about 8 times in a row. A real pity as this pub used to be a real diamond.

Lamorna Wink, Penzance

A bizarre experience like travelling back into the 1950s into an Agatha Christie book. Pub run by two old ladies and filled with faded photos and strange locals. However pub lunch was good particularly the crab sandwiches and beer OK

The Coronation Hall, Surbiton

Very commercial, but does have a late licence so it is one of the few pubs in Surbiton open until midnight.

Harts Boatyard, Surbiton

Great to sit by the river and watch the world go by. Unfortunately it will take so long to be served by the muppets that work in the bar that another Ice Age will have started by the time you get back to your seat

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden

Great small traditional pub, where you can stand outside and have a decent pint

The Black Prince, Kennington

Great South London booser - nothing fancy - but does what it says on the tin.

The Dog House, Kennington

Appalling service, took over 20 minutes to be served by a bored girl who seemed more interested in talking to locals

The Pride of Spitalfields, Shoreditch

A great little pub, goood ales and excellent atmosphere and really different from the normal commercial barns found in central London

Kings Arms, Teignmouth

Strange quite intimidating atmosphere, beer was disappointing

The Ram, Kingston Upon Thames

The Ram has finally been renovated, the walls have been been painted purple, new Tvs bought and some better furniture - however the toilets are still as bad as ever and the pub still has a shortage of glasses.

The Ram, Kingston Upon Thames

After a horrific year this pub now has new management and the early signs are promising. Better range of beers now available and some evidence that the toilets have been cleaned. Very impressed by the quiz night on a Tuesday night - highly amusing quiz master.

The New Prince, Surbiton

Great Pub, good selection of beers, lively atmosphere and good service - I will definately be coming back

The Wellington, Waterloo

Around Waterloo Station this is by far the best pub for a drink. Although it can really busy around 6.30 pm; it has agood atmsophere; a reasonable selection of beers and the food is good.

The Fat Cat, Sheffield

If you want real ale and a fantastic traditional atmosphere this is one of the finest pubs in Sheffield

The Ram, Kingston Upon Thames

Really gone downhill in the last two months inspite of a paint job. Staff are idle and content to chat at the end of the bar rather than serve, beer is often appalling and even on a quiet midweek afternoon staff require you to drink out of plastic glasses, while the men's toilets are full of grafitti and under several inches of water - needs new management urgently!!!

The Victoria, Surbiton

Great local boozer, friendly atmosphere, lively locals and excellent service - one of the only 'traditional' pubs left in Surbiton and a real god send.

A Bar 2 Far, Kingston Upon Thames

Had a horrific meal with work colleagues at this bar. The staff were rude and the service very slow. Would not recommend this bar to my worst enemy.

Harts Boatyard, Surbiton

Large barn-like interior and souless atmosphere. Menu is very limited and bar lacks decent variety of beers. The one saving grace of this pub is that on a hot day it has loads of picnic tables out the back and you can sit by the river and watch the world go by.
