The Cardinal, Kingston Upon Thames

I went into the Cardinal for the first time yesterday having walked past it thousnads of times. It's not the smartest pub in the area, but SO friendly. The dogs loved the garden and the whole place had such a lovely, laid back atmosphere I will definately be back.

Lovely garden. Dog and kid friendly. We've always found the food good value. Relaxing place to read the papers over a pint on a Sunday.

The Fox and Duck, Petersham

Having run away from the awful Dysart round the corner this was a lovely change. A proper pub. Friendly and welcoming. Dogs allowed.

The Dysart, Petersham

There used to be no more welcome site than The Dysart after a long walk across Richmond Park. This pub is now closed. It has been replaced by a restaurant with sky high prices. Mains over �20, come on. A pint of (the only available) beer and a small white wine came to over �11. Thirsty walkers should walk towards Ham and try any of the three pubs along the way..
