The Rum Puncheon, Gravesend

Spent a very relaxing afternoon in here. I don't know why we haven't tried it before. There were plenty of good ales to choose from, at reasonable prices, very decent food, which was made for us even though they had officially stopped serving - which is unusual in this day and age. The staff were very friendly and on hand if you needed them - and were not in your face when you didn't. Lovely pub, and looking forward to visiting again very soon.

The Three Chimneys, Biddenden

Lovely pub. The ale was very well kept and the food was absolutely lovely - if a little pricey. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we will definitely go back again. Unfortunately it closes at 3.00 on a Sunday (don't know about the rest of the week), but lovely pub nevertheless - our fault for being late on parade!!

The Old House, Ightham

Have been using The Old House for a while now. Didn't really want to write a review, because we don't really want everyone to go there - but credit where credit's due and we like everything about this pub. The atmosphere, the beer and wine and the general ambience is brilliant. There isn't a down-side, and every one should give it a try. There isn't food, as said previously - but its nice to go in a pub and not smell chip fat, and have dinners wafting past you constantly. Highly recommended.

The George Inn, Egerton

Called in for an in-promtu Sunday roast, without having pre-booked. We were greeted by an extremely friendly bar lady, who informed us that although they were fully-booked, they could squeeze us in as we were early. We had the best pub roast dinner we have ever had - and I am very fussy about my roast potatoes! The food was absolutely excellent, the beer - we had the Harveys - was exceptionally well kept and the whole atmosphere, including the very friendly bar staf - makes it a place we will definitely return to

The Cock Inn, Luddesdowne

If you are going to a pub for exceptional real ale - look no further. The ales are all exceedingly well kept. The landlord needs to appply the same amount of attention to detail to his bar staff's version of customer care, however. An afternoon's enjoyment quaffing the splendid ale was marred by the hostile and unfriendly attitude of the female bar tender Maybe she'd a bad night the night before - admittedly she did look a little rough. In this day and age, you'd think people would be a little more pleasant, when they are relying on customers coming through the doors for their living.
