Trafalgar Freehouse, South Wimbledon

a miserable rainy night and i'm greeted by a real fire, friendly barmaid and a choice of five great beers. Tried the hophead first - tip top. Gales (yes i know fullers) hsb was in luvvly condition. finished wth a pilgrim porter and wended my way home in happy mood through the rain. best pub on my visit to london. very small but friendly and the best beer.

The Sultan, South Wimbledon

reccomended by a punter in the wenlock. said come here then the trafalgar. beer is very good but only hopback and downton (their little bruvver!). Very cliquey though and the staff arn't the most friendly. I get the impression it lives off its reputation.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

went here yesterday and its a great little local boozer. a bit too serious on the beery front. i'd been told a lot about it the beer selection was good but some of the quality not quite so. i gather it must have been an off day from what people were saying. i'll go back though.
