Bit cautious having read last two reviews, but we had a pleasant dining and drinking experience at this pub. Nice surrounds; Friendly staff; and well cooked and presented food

Their website paints this an idyllic pub. The surrounds are is no nice, but there is no atmosphere. Tonight we dined alone in the restaurant. the food was very mediocre for an expensive tariff. How often does a prawn and advocado salad (7.00) come with just 3 prawns? They say they cook fresh, and yet they couldn't do a dish with no garlic in it..... Very disappointed

Stopped on way home on off-chance. How refreshing to find a landlord who really cares that his customers are having a good time! Excellent food, cooked fresh and a good selection of ales.

Lovely atmosphere but spoilt by staff who take an order in their head at the table then forget it and enter the wrong item in the ordering computer! However, my husband's food was delicious

The Bottle and Glass, Binfield Heath
Agree totally with both of the previous reviews. Staff are very friendly as well. Food cooked from fresh with good helpings

Guide books say it is excellent. I mark it as average, and a bit disapointing for a rural Cornish pub. Food is fresh but menu is not big. Dining Room in need of refurb

A beautiful pub with an excellent menu. Very friendly staff and high marks for customer care.

The Old Red Lion, Holmes Chapel
Agree about the food being poor, but it isn't that bad. It's a chain pub (Ember Inns) so you should know what to expect

The Royal George Hotel, Birdlip
Very good food, but service slow. Nice relaxing restaurant and bar area

The Coach and Horses, Donnington
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Large menu but let down by quality of food. Chef needs more training! Explains empty eating area at 800 on a Wednesday night!

Six months after the last review, and nothing has changed. Not that common for this chain of pubs in my experience, but ruins a pub with a lot of atmosphere

One year on from the last comment, and I confirm that it is as good as ever in this friendly pub.

Beautiful old pub with real log fire. Very good menu with proper home cooking! Staff helpful.

An Ember Inn that still attracts large number of locals, yet manages to provide relaxed dining area for passing trade. Staff very helpful and welcoming

The Old Barn Farm, Three Legged Cross
things were not half as bad in September as the 12th June entry. No problems with the staff or their attitude. Just wish the Vintage Inns could offer something other than the national menu!

The Jekyll and Hyde, Turgis Green
nice surroundings, but only order bread as a side order if you want it to be so stale it is rock hard!. Also think the menu has very little 'normal' pub grub on it

The Green Man, Middleton
lack of attention to food seems a problem here. We called in mid-afternoon and ordered my wife a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel from the snacks menu. With only us to cook for, it came out as tunned tuna and melted cheese! Publican put it down to a mistake in the kitchen, but the other reviewer makes me wonder!! Agree though about the clean and welcoming pub
