The The New Calley Arms, Hodson

Just changed hands - They managed to overcharge us, we think, but being typically English we moaned to each other but not to them.

Beer was good.

Lovely open fronted log burner to take away the February chills.

They were having a kitchen clear out, will call again to see what they're up too.

The Rose and Crown, Highworth

I cycled to this one - I got the usual strange looks from the Saturday lunch locals as I entered in the cycling gear, but they turned out to be a friendly bunch.
The atmosphere was good and the beer excellent. Will go again

The Carters Rest, Wroughton

Just moved into Wroughton, I have tried all the Pubs and The Carters is certainly the best drinking Pub. Very much a locals Pub in the Winter with walking and cycling visitors in the Summer. Its great to have a busy active Pub close by.

The Red Lion, Cricklade

I have just visited this pub for the first time in 7 years. The change is incredible, it was a town drinking house, now it is a modern eating and drinking house with a country cottage feel. A nice touch is the samples of real ales by each pump, as the colour of the beer gives you an indication of its taste.

If you haven't been there for a while give it a go.
