Good pub for a drink after work or a chilled weekend drink. Pool table upstairs, lots of sofas downstairs, good beer - all round a good pub.

A bit like the Angel - this is a great boozer. I used to hate this pub but I quite like it now - full of locals rather than students, not just one age group either. Nice and relaxed, can gte pretty packed.

The Angel's definately not everyone's cup of tea - you'll love it or hate it. You'll get almost a complete cross-section of people in here and that's part of the appeal. Probably not a pub for anyone too worried about appearances, and there's the odd fight too, but nothing ever gets out of hand. Staff are always nice and friendly, give it a go!

Nice pub, big windows, food's good and the staff are always chilled. Fair play for going no-smoking early as well

The Tynllidiart Arms, Capel Bangor
Absolutely excellent food and the staff were spot on as well. I don't think you'd get a better meal anywhere, and my brother who was up from london thought the same. The dining room upstairs has been done out really nice. All round a fantastic place to go if you want a lovely meal - it's more of a restaurant in a pub building but I'm sure the locals propping up the bar will tell you it's a great waterng hole too.
