The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting
finally checked this out last night and found the place nicely busy with its gardens, no sign of dodgy beer or grumpy staff re. the coment below
It had good music and well kept ale. Its decor is tasteful but the pool table was 'booked' all night which was annoying !

thank god this place is being refitted, lets hope they get some good managers and staff on board.
used to be a very busy pub i'm told and could certainly be once again

i dont understand the fuss about this place - its nothing special. When i popped in last saturday it was like a mortuary with about 4 staff looking like spare parts
the food was fine but the pub style is more 'all bar one' than anything else
nice range of drinks but thats standard unless you are a regular of wetherspoons !

it is interesting how you slag off the venue to the left and right of this pub , which you rave about
i think i will check out the other two places just to see if what you say is true ! cant say i found this place to be anything like what it used to be. Staff weren't particularly bubbly on my visit , the music was the poorest i have heard in ages( off the freeview box )and the drinks selection was plain mediocre.
You must have been to another place !

i cant believe this place has closed down - why ?
it always seems busy and had the right ingredients for a good local bar - there arent any other 'bars' in tooting
shame !

having been out of tooting for over a year this is a real welcome to a former dump!
its a bit quiet but i'm sure it will pick up as theres not much this end of tooting. Good range of drinks and a nice menu too

Hoochimama's Bar Bistro, Tooting
nice small bar near to the tube - problem is.. its so small its full with 25 people so avoid if you in a group!
nice vibe tho and a good patch to watch the world go bye. I Didnt order food but the service was fine if a bit relaxed... but then its not a chain so that is waht i would expect !
