Always a good place to visit, plenty of atmosphere, good food and good service. Sometimes a little slow (due to its popularity!) but the restaurant managers always seem to make a great effort to squeeze you in even if you havnt booked.

The Greyhound, Finchampstead

Used to be a great pub but since new Chain ownership standards have fallen. Prices have gone up, service has got slower and a previous favourite, the pizzas, have disappeared.

Queens Oak, Finchampstead

Having visited in the past to find they were inbetween owners so no food was available I was pleased to see the kitchen was reopened for business. I was expecting your average country pub food and I most say I was very pleasantly surprised. A small but complete menu, including three vegetarian options, offers good value and plenty of food. Staff are friendly and helpful and improvements to the decoration were well needed.
Will be back.
