The Home Cottage, Redhill

This pub is sensitivately updated with a total loss of Miss Starrs history. It retains the parlour look to maintain the original nostalgic ambience. It is not trying to copy a Wetherspoons so it offers a touch of class. Cheap food with gluttons quantities is available in the Toby Carvery and is good food at good value but the beer is no match for Home Cottage Youngs. Alternatively of course there are the scruffy town centre pubs.

The Gatwick, Horley

Dearest beer in all of Horley. Ok if you can stand Hall and Woodhouse. Not the place to take a lady unless you tolerate the foul language around the bar. Far better to go to the Old Six Bells.

The Somerhill, Tonbridge

Three of us on a day out went in by mistake having read earlier posts. Found it had new landlord only in two weeks. He was very pleasant, chatty and informative.

The Black Horse, Reigate

You won't get better service in Reigate town. Beer always good, comfortable places tyo sit if you only want a drink and great food if you are after a meal. Really friendly and helful managers and most willing bar staff.

The Star, Dorking

Sorry - a cameel is a camel with two e's - a mis-spelling caused by 74 year old fingers and a small keyboard.

The Star, Dorking

I don't take my cameel to the pub and anyone who does should be reported to the RSPCA. Good things come in small packages and this smal package has good beer, great food as you bring your own and really helpfull staff.Go to Wetherspoons if you want miles of space and a dozen second rate ales.

The Falkland Arms, Dorking

Nothing wrong with this pub, very friendly landlady and staff. the girl behind the bar would be the prettiest star at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Prince Of Wales, Dorking

A fantastic little lady runs this pub and two old codgers on trips from Reigate say it is a great place for a beer

The Nutley Hall, Reigate

A spit and sawdust pub without the sawdust. Tired looking and delapidated and well worth a miss.
