This place is awful. The pizzas were average and the pasta was overcooked. And the restaurant itself was freezing. Go over the road to Il Baccio for much nicer pizzas and pasta.

The Rose and Crown, Stoke Newington
Probably my favourite pub in the area. Nice wines, and nice guest ales which are rotated regularly. The food is alright (a bit over priced for a Sunday roast maybe) and the pub quiz on Tuesdays is pretty good. Also a perfect Winter boozer.
I think rampantwurzle is confusing this pub with the Lion

A very nice pub. Some nice wines and beers. However, I ordered fish and chips last week and I got 9 chips, stacked Jenga style. I felt a little bit jibbed.

A lovely pub, really nice bar staff and decent, inexpensive beers. The wine list is not up to much, but The Plough does not suffer from it.

Shakespeare, Stoke Newington
Overpriced beer, grotty, uncomfortable and freezing cold. Could do a hell of a lot better
