Stone Horse Paper Cow, Liverpool Street

This is a great pub. One of those hidden gems. Beer is well kept, decent range and quite cheap ( when compared to other places in the vicinity). Food is well portioned and well cooked. You cant beat the steak sandwich !!

Agree with ithers about keeping it quiet though. Dont want my lunchtimes and evening ruined by too mnay people at the bar :-)

Ashley Park Hotel, Walton on Thames

Good point: Excellent wide choice of ales and lagers. Wine is well priced too atonly 8-94 a bottle ! Food is good with excellent usual Ember Inns menu. Be aware though - no kids allowed and you cannot book a table. So can be a matter of luck of you get table for large parties. ( esp. Friday nghts ! )

Bad points - Have had cold food served up but no fuss or problem retuning it. Too brightly lit makes it seem slightly sterile. Agree with other reviews which say lights should be dimmer.

Overall - would give 8 / 10 marks.

The Barley Mow, Hersham

I love this place. The Sunday roasts are fantastic and good value for a family eat-out. Large seating restaurant area which tends to leave fewer seats for the smaller bar area. Very clean and well kept pub. Will go back again.

The Bricklayers Arms, Hersham

As mentioned in other reviews, very expensive drinks here. So much so that people I know have started looking elsewhere. The Ashley near Walton on Thames station is much better value and food and I know some people moved onto there now.
Having said that, I've never had a bad pint and the evening food is good quality.
So if the prices get more realistic, we may all start meeting up at this pub again.
