The Duke Of Wellington, Hackney

sweet pub. one of the best around. food is genius.
ale is hit and miss though, sometimes it's banging and sometimes quite average.
i know it's a local brew but why does Wandle ale always have to be permanent guest ? and who drinks it?

also, should be rules on letting bar staff play there own music. no need for rock on a tuesday night.

@ i never called anyone a moron............and the locals are rude and unfriendly, you must be one of them ;-)

as mentioned, wenlock has great ale, just a shame it's skankola!

tuppence: well they'd have to get a new cellerman too as Dave's a**hole too.

integrity? i guess that's the wenlock locals telling non-locas to bugger off?
all good things come to an end.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

the wenlock has been going down hill for a long time. I don't see any point in saving it.........

it might have some of the best ale in London but it probably has the worst bar service in the city apart from the young ladies who are very nice..........the young boy is a joke, he's only 18 and sits behind the bar swirling his ale like he's in his 50s and fefuses to serve you................and John the bearded chap is perhaps the rudest barmen i've ever ordered from. Though i hear he had his last shift last week. That's a blessing.

The Bree Louise, Euston

great pub, no question! but would like to see a wider rotation of ales if i'm to be honest. lots of ales but bree seems to favour a select few........ITCHIN VALEY, DOWNTON etc most of em kinda boring

Jolly Butchers, Stoke Newington

pub trying bit too hard, way too many cask pumps on. 7 ales, no way they shifting that! dark star american pale tasted super stale. .......seems like it's catering to the foodie as opposed to the ale lover.
prob wont be going back.
not a revelation.

The Rake, London Bridge

the rake, okay so firstly its a rip off just like uto beer.
never been treated more rudely in my life as a customer.
irish dude basically told me to fk off cos i wanted to get some air, the bar was like a sauna. was only 10.30pm, every pub in borough has street drinking (also fire hazard_
