Goose, Wood Green

I like this pub just because its entertaining !! with a mix off dodgy old drunks and mountveiw students ! I liked the old land lady new bar staff are quite rude but suppose any one would be if they had to put up with dodgy old drunks starting fights and the mountview lot moving furniture and singing crap show songs !!! food is pretty ok once it arrives.

The Alfred Herring, Palmers Green

I think the alfred is ok, but lately on a fri and sat night there seems to be heards of young people outside ! slightly off putting and once inside its not much better do the staff know about chllenge 21 !! staff were really freindly a few months ago but thats all changed now, it's a shame

The Ranelagh, Bounds Green

The only decent pub in the area, with a lively quiz night, great open mic night, and a decent sunday roast !! what can I say I LOVE it !!

O'Neills, Muswell Hill

I usually really like O'Neils they have a great atmosphere and generally good service, I have been to this O'Neils on several occassions and been disapointed, my first visit the barmaid forgot to charge us for our drinks ( great for us ) and there seemed to be a big gang of what looked like under agers sitting in the corner sharing a bottle off pear cider , none off the staff seemed bothered. My second visit was for a work party, I phoned in advance to check the bar was open untill 12 am I was told yes, on our arrival football was on there was only one person on the bar at any one time but three clearing glasses !! the bar was then closed at 11.30pm and we had 2 big unfriendly bouncers kicking us out at 11.45pm, The manager was no where to be seen all night untill we were getting kicked out and then just smiled at the bouncers, is it any wonder this pub is half empty on a friday and saturday night ??? I wont be back in a hurry unless they get a new manager, staff and bouncers !!!!

The Slug and Lettuce, Muswell Hill

I really like this slug and lettuce, I have been here on several occasions the food is reasonably priced and you get well made food, and decent portion sizes, also the �3 cocktails are amazing ! and the service is really good, The scouse manager is always runing around making sure everyone s happy, other pubs in Muswell Hill should take a leaf out off this pubs book !!
