Sinclairs Oyster Bar, Manchester

Paid a very quick visit on a Saturday afternoon. Heaving downstairs, just about enough room to stand upstairs. Good pint of Extra Stout. Nicely decorated pub, just too small given its location and the cheap price of its Sam Smiths beer.

The City Arms, Manchester

Nice little pub. Very busy on a Saturday evening. Impressive selection of ales and good service.

The Nascot Arms, Watford

Visited on a Saturday evening recently and had a pint of Old Speckled Hen and a pint of the seasonal guest Rockin' Rudolf. Both perfectly kept and served. Very friendly and welcoming pub.

The Champions Bar, Watford

According to the blackboard outside, Champions now appears to be serving a selection of real ales which is a very good thing in my opinion. Haven't been in to check it out, has anyone else?

The Bree Louise, Euston

Nice pub, friendly atmosphere, good beer (had a few pints of Doom Bar the other week, lovely stuff) and fantastic selection of pies.

The Rake, London Bridge

The Rake is a my new favourite bar! Fantastic little place that offers a staggering range of bottled beers and ciders and keeps a regularly changing selection of draught beers. Been in here a couple of times this week and enjoyed some lovely pints of O'Hanlons Royal Oak bitter. Very friendly bar staff, always willing to explain all about the bar and its beers. Top place!

The Black Rabbit, Offham

What a lovely pub. Went there twice during a weekend away in Arundel. Two Badger ales on draught (Tanglefoot was delicious) and very nice HofBrau lager. The pub's setting couldn't be more idyllic, situated right next to the river Arun with a view of Arundel Castle. We visited the pub on a very busy Sunday afternoon and were dreading how slow we thought the service would be, but were very pleasantly surprised by efficient, quick bar service and food that arrived in 15 minutes when we were told it would take half an hour.

A definite recommendation if you're around these parts on a sunny day!

The White Horse, Sibton

Stayed here at the B&B for a weekend back in August. The place had just been taken over by a lovely family from Leicestershire. It's everything an old English country pub should be, friendly, cosy and full of character. The beer (Adnams) was fantastic and so was the food, including one of the best tasting, most tender steaks I've ever eaten!

The Castle, Harrow On The Hill

I think The Castle is a great pub. The decor is a nice mix of old-fashioned and modern, they have a decent range of beers, and they do good food. Went there for a lovely relaxed Sunday roast the other weekend. Definitely one of the best pubs in Harrow.

The Front Door, Galway

Very chatty & friendly bar staff and does one of the best steak & guinness stews I've ever tasted! Beware if you want to use the loos though, as they're an Everest-like ascent up three storeys of stairs!

Cane, West Hampstead

The place to be seen! As long as you are a stuck-up, personality-free fashion victim that is!

The Railway, West Hampstead

I have visited this pub numerous times over three or four years(only to meet friends in, rather than stay there for any length of time) and the service has consistently been awful. The staff seem to spend the majority of their time floating around behind the bar not doing anything except ignoring the waiting customers, even when there are as few as two or three people at the bar. God knows what its like on a busy evening...
