The Plumbers Arms, Chester

Came across this pub recently. Down a side street but what a great little pub. Relaxed atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. Three cask ales on, I tryed the Lancaster Bommer which was a real tasty pint. Landlady very friendly and we stayed for a bar meal (which was again very good and great value for money) and she could not do enough for us. Toilets exceptionally clean (as throughout) and overall I would recommend this pub to all.

The Marlborough Arms, Chester

Not been in since a few years back, alot has changed. Did not like the refurb the new owners have done, hardly anything on the walls etc. Tables and chairs seem to be like outdoor furniture. They have stopped serving food and extended the ladies toilets which resulted in the kitchen being removed, seems an odd idea. Overall would not go back due to the fact there is not alot to go for.

Off The Wall, Chester

Excellent bar, great coffee shop. cheap, cheap, cheap. Bar staff are very freindly and smoking solution good. Bloke that runs it is great 2. Not at all like Yates', overall great place.

Food ok in the week although i did not think much to the bland sunday lunch. Ale good, good range of cask.

The Red Lion, Handbridge

A nice pub, recommend a drink there. Staff freindly and good refurb. Shame to see the bar trade go but it did need a good lick of paint. last landlady was brilliant, will be sadly missed!!

The Square Bottle, Chester

Food good although i agree that you have to queue very long for a drink and this Wetherspoons is very poor compared to the other Wetherspoons. Tables and bar always wet, bring some kitchen roll with you!!!

The Cross Keys Inn, Chester

Food used to be excellent but after many changes of chefs i feel it is very poor. staff are very freindly and pub is cosy, shame about food now as it used to be great.
