The Bell Inn, Hampton

Indifferent staff who just seem to spend time chatting to each other rather than serve you. A real shame as I'd been quite impressed the last few times i'd visited.
Almost made to feel like an inconvenience than a customer. the food was actually ok oddly enough.
I won't be returning again, as just not welcoming.

The Pilot Inn, North Greenwich

What a great find this pub is. I looked online for somewhere close to the O2 and couldn't have found a nicer pub. It was absolutley rammed with xmas parties and we were looking to get a table to eat and the Lanldord made an effort to find us a table when one became available..can't ask for better service than that.
Attractive Barmaids, great London Pride as well..think i'll be returning next time i'm at a concert for sure.

Duke of Clarence, Hampton Hill

Try to go elsehwere these days but hard to find a pub in Hampton Hill nowadays due to it's decline over recent years.
Made the mistke of sitting in the Beer Garden which was overgrown, full of dog ends, warped and buckled benches and tables. Half expected to see some old fridges a shopping trolley and a big steel drum lit up with tramps rubbing their hands over it for warmth.
Who wants to pay pub prices to sit in this....jump on the R70 and go to the Prince Albert.
Duke of Clarence one word, Lawnmower!

The Bulls Head, Chiswick

I can only praise the staff and service here. Been visiting reguarly to eat here and never been disappointed. Saying that this is supposed to be a pub review site, but The Bulls Head is more of a restaurant in my opinion.

The Rising Sun, Hampton Hill

Not a bad pub now. It's benefited from the re-fit and is actaully quite a cosy little boozer. I should imagine it'll be nice in the Winter if it lasts that long due to the current state of Hampton Hill. I swear I heard "GHOST TOWN "playing when I drove through the other night.

Good luck to them I reckon. The food is supposed to be nice but not tried it yet.

Joes Bar and Restaurant, Hampton Hill

I dined here on the 25th Aug and actually thought the food was very good. The staff were very attentive and friendly and it's streets ahead of how the dreadfull Joe's ended up, which was a decent place many years back believe it or not!

Let's be honest Hampton Hill needs all the help it can get in the current climate, it's getting worse each time I visit.

Good luck to them.

The Phoenix, Sunbury on Thames

Have been recommending this pub to people for ages, due to the lovely beer garden but wish I hadn't bothered after a recent early evening visit on a very hot day.

Rasing a smile from the guy behind the bar would have been a mission. We asked him what time food was served to which he replied 6pm (it was 4.45pm) We waited patiently till 6 and then overheard a table saying they were only doing a barbeque that evening and no menu food.

There are hardly any menus around to lure you into buying food, there was no posters advertising a barbeque (one sheet of white paper and a marker pen??)

And then we overhear the owner perhaps telling a staff member how he had to have a go at the chef as he'd made such a mess at lunchtime..!!!

On that note we left, why would you risk eating there after hearing that.

Pull your socks up Phoenix.

The Bloated Mallard, Teddington

Not really sure what the fuss is all about really. Ventured there on a Friday evening and managed to find a couple of seats after doing a couple of laps of the bar area.

In the half an hour or so we were there, people walked in the front door, looked bemused due to there being not much space or anywhere to sit. They then walk around in a circle trying to find somewhere to go, and end up where they started by the front door..!

I didn't find it friendly, or a particuarly warm atmosphere to be honest. Think it will be my first and last visit.

The Albion, Hampton Court

What an absolute dump of a pub, which is a real shame, as it used to be a lovely place, and always very lively.

Visited on a week night in August and I couldn't even rest on the bar when I ordered a round as it was completely sodden with beer.

The place is absolutely filthy and is overflowing with glasses, and general rubbish strewn everywhere.

Dis-interested staff to boot as well...what a place.

Dump,Dump,Dump someone get in the cleaners quickly!!!!!!!!

Duke of Clarence, Hampton Hill

A not bad little pub, maybe a touch of paint and spruce up is in order as it's identical to when I first went there 10 yrs back!

A fantastic new Lebanese restaurant has opened up fairly recently, great food and reasonably priced. Not many middle eastern eateries in this part of SW London so a really great find. Think I'll be visiting the Duke a lot more in 2008 if this place stays open.

The Albany, Thames Ditton

A crying shame, how this pub has gone downhill. Used to be the greatest pub around when it was the Fox, but it's not a patch on that anymore. The food and general service are just not up to scratch.

The pub has an amazing view and location, how hard can it be to make it work. I won't be going there any more in favour of Ye Olde Swan 2 mins down the road.

The Jolly Coopers, Hampton

Lived in Hampton for 9 years never ventured into the Jolly Coopers not really sure why, but after nearly dying of boredom in the nearby Bell on xmas eve I made a visit.

What a lovely old pub, really friendly locals, very friendly bar staff, I have actually forgotten what it was like to go into a real pub with how things are these days.

worth a look, and it's within stumbling distance of the Curry House we all know so well...!

The Bell Inn, Hampton

I was quite pleased when I heard The Bell was back open again, I never thought it was the most happening
of pubs but it was always fine for a couple of pints.

What a shock I had on xmas eve when I ventured in to what I can only describe as decor out of Lucifers Bedroom, red walls with red flock wallpaper...! it looks interesting to say the least.

The atmosphere was non existant, and the whole place had about as much appeal as a dentists waiting room.

I thought the menu was extremely limited and over priced bearing in mind the competition locally in Hampton court where you can dine in a decent restaurant for similar.

This pub has amazing potential to be a fantastic pub with an amazing restaurant upstairs with lovely river views...but it never works...why??

What a real shame, that a pub with such a long history and fantastic setting is reduced to this...we were so bored after 1 drink we popped into the Jolly Coopers and it was like entering a different world..!
