The Bell, East Molesey

The Bell is definitely getting back to what it should be. Current management and staff are great and the atmosphere in there at most times is getting close to when at it's best.

Guest Ales in particular are worth a try with some from interesting micro-breweries.

Food is now on offer (some cheap deals) until a sensible time of the evening and the pub is also cleaner than for years. Its very suitable for both adult groups and families. Only slight negative is a couple of family groups (who are there quite regularly) where the kids run around as if they own the place. To be fair the management are onto the parents about it but doesn't always prevent it happening....

The Albion, Hampton Court

Don't think I've ever seen a pub go into such a steep decline. Since the departure of the previous management this pub has gone from being one of the best to one of the worst in the town.

Appalling management (more lack of)
Poor quality staff
Constantly running out of specific beers or wines
No wine glasses for about 5 weeks
Toilets that smell so unbearably we move onto a different pub rather than use them.

Try to go there as little as possible these days but on occasions it is where our friends are.....

Time to get someone in there that cares.

The Bell, East Molesey

For the first time for a good few years The Bell is very much on the up.

Improvements all round but in particular in the overall atmosphere of the place. It's actually a pleasant place to drink again after its recent decline - a fact not missed locally given the number of couples and groups starting to drink in there again.

Full marks to the temporary landlady Cat and her staff for both cleaning & brightening up the place and for the much better service.

Lets now hope the owners don't spoil it again by another inappropriate permanent appointment.

Still loads of work to do on the overall state of the place but hopefully some investment in a establishment that is inextricably linked with Molesey history will soon be made.

The Albion, Hampton Court

Visited the Albion a few times recently after years of not using it.

The refit has improved the place and found it to be very friendly, with good service.

The landlord Bev (I heard her say she doesnt like being called a landlady) has the ideal personality to run a successful pub. Equally good with customers and staff from what I've seen.
