Nice pub. Deuchars and Pride on tap, comfy seating, beautiful interior, quiet road. Worth seeking out.

Pint of lager and a Bloody Mary came to just under 9.00. Enough said.

Gone well downhill. Hopefully Brendan will get in a decent bar manager this time and turn it back around.

Gone right downhill sadly, I've been coming here for years. Popped in on Saturday evening with a few friends - place was absolutely *heaving*, not in a nice beery pub way, just plain overcrowded. Hot, sweaty and smoky. The beer is average - there are better pints of Pride to be had, and I've had to send back pints of Abbot Ale because they have been, quite simply, 'off'. The landlord can be rude, too.
On a quiet afternoon, perhaps, but I won't be returning here in a hurry. Try the Pembury Tavern instead.

This place has really hit its stride now. Plenty people popping in and out, even during the week. Good beer served well, a range of decent boardgames behind the bar (chess, backgammon, scrabble etc), the food is delicious and fairly priced.
A real gem, and all credit to Steve and his team for making a real go of it. Only teeny criticism is that they seem to depend too much on Milton beers - ok as far as they go, but a bit more variety would be the icing on the cake.
Highly recommended.

Yep, bar staff are the most disinterested lot I've had the misfortune to come across. The place is a licence to print money in the summer, but they're just not on top of their game.
And the toilets are, frankly, appalling.
