Not sure about this place, the staff seem pretty friendly (remember they used to think it was a michelin restaurant). Beer not as good as I expected but not bad, more variety needed i think. Think th efood isn't as good as it was, or maybe an off day. Still really uncomfortabel inside which really puts me off in the winter

A newish place, seems ok beer is reasonable, disappointing food though listening to the other patrons. Good place for a few evening jars I believe.

Thank you god a pub that has improved... Oh! its just the look, beers still poor, not sure whether they are serving food. Bar staff worst we've seen all day, don't look like they give a xxxx.

Always been a strange pub this one, seems a bit cleaner than a few years ago with some decent beers, Food not great, but, passable. Very quiet compared to how we remember..

Oh My God!!!!!! The anchor was always a bit naff, but ok for a quiet drink. What the hell is going on here 1725, is that the name or the price of a pint?? Total shocker, full of posing idiots.

Oh no, whats happened to this once great pub? I have been away since finishing uni in Lancaster and we thought a trip to the old haunts was in order. Fibbers... Always a must for any night out, great fun at the weekend. What has happened? Beer was awful, fridges half empty, staff even worse. Where have the guys who worked there in 2007 gone they were brilliant

Bit of strange place this, looks like its going to be relaing and comfortable with good food and drink. On examination, drinks are not bad.. food is unmentionable and its trying to be a bit of a sports bar. Seems busy enough though so will try again. Owned by Mitchells of Lancaster though which is a bit disappointing in Yorkshire!!

Hoped this was going to be good after speaking to friends.... Its not that bad, yes the tables are cheap and dirty (but where aren't they now?) Beer is pretty good, seriously let down by management though. When will people realise.... Volume does not equal Atmosphere. We couldn't hear ourselves think in the afternoon. Could easily be made a lot better, will try again.
