The Beehive, Welwyn Garden City

I find the previous comments odd and contrary to my experience. This is a pretty decent boozer - albeit short on having a broad range of decent ales as it only seems to sell 2 bitters and Guinness on draught.

Nice layout inside, food from the restaurant is decent enough, relaxing atmosphere, huge garden so great for summer beers and helpful bar staff. It's in a different league compared to some of the other pubs in WGC.

The Eleanor Arms, Bow

This was full of locals when I popped in, but I was made to feel welcome having a chat with the landlady. Certainly more chirpy than some of the other nearby pubs. However, it has quite an odd-shaped bar with a narrow corridor to get to the loos and decor looked a bit tired.

Worth popping in just to try the 'Oranjeboom' beer, which I hadn't heard of before.

The Rose of Denmark, Old Ford

This pub has now closed.

The Kings Arms, Bow

I agree with the previous comment re the Guinness being very well kept. The fact that almost everone in there is drinking it probably helps. Don't expect to watch premiership games if the gaelic games are on.

I've often trecked to this pub purely to be able to sup a really decent pint of stout. Thai food is also better than the usual pub fare.

The Marquis of Granby, Covent Garden

Odd shape, but decent enough beer. Fire a bit too hot for my liking. Upstairs seating good too.

The Top Of The Morning, Victoria Park

Spent a good day there recently. The landlord was welcoming given that i had my 2 dogs with me. Nice place to sit and relax next to the canal, and have to agree with the previous comments re traditional eastend pub.
