The Hinton Arms, Cheriton

only stopped for Sunday lunch - beer was good, food was good (£11) for a risotto is expensive.

But welcome was good and the puddings at £5 each were good value.

Would be back.

Not that under 14 years are not allowed in the bar - okay in the summer - but in the winter is it outside in a marquee.

Dont mind about the policy but could have been delivered in a more friendly manor - checked out the HInton Arms - what a difference in attitude

The Crown, Axford

Been here a few times now - never very busy - a friendly welcome each time. Had Alton pride and moondance on - both excellent (moondance just finshed and replaced with London pride) Had food her on Sat Lunch time - all very good - veggie options very tasty indeed - much better than the usual nuked lasange that gets served round here. Food was not cheap but you could tell were the extra money went - puddings were good too

Food was fine when we went earlier in the week - large range of food sampled so don't think quality has altered at all. Beer was well kept but not as adventerous as usual - 6X, Brakespears, Adnams broadside plus one other.

Still an excellent pub - huge beer garden at the back too

Queens Arms, Basingstoke

It's been several years since I was in here last, The internals have changed since making it a lot more open and airier. 2 real ales I had were both excellent.

Queens College Arms, Tadley

Hoppinghare was excellent, food was very good too. In here on a Sat luch time and still very busy. Playground provided a distraction for the kids. Service was good too. Well recommended

The Portsmouth Arms, Basingstoke

Was here on a Sunday - pub is fine, big car park so not an issue getting parked. Fursty ferret was very drinkable. Food was okay - have eaten in a few woodhouse pubs - so standard menu - Queens college arms (Tadley way) does the same food but better.

Had a few beers in here on Friday night - not sure if the turn over is too high and the barrels don't have enough time to settle but beer is not as good as it could be - and I am a fan of Badger beers.

(playground is good for the kids on a Sunday)

The Bishop On The Bridge, Winchester

Fullers pub serving well kept fullers beer. Was in over lunch time - food was good, staff friendly too.
Open fire in the middle of the pub was very nice especially after a chilly morning shopping in Winchester
