The Blue Ball, Walton On The Hill

great pub, with good bar snacks and a warm feel to the place. great in the winter when the open fire is roaring. restaraunt area is good as well with big hearty meals served at good pace. need more selection of drinks and drop the prices a bit on some of the beers and it would would round the evening off perfect.

The Cock and Bull, Sutton

i have only been in here in the afternoon midweek and it was practically empty by then. however, i found it was very comfortable settings for a pub and the staff seemed pleasant. nice selection of beers, but i would not like to be here in the evenings or weekends when it get very busy, because i can see it getting overcrowded and too smoky.

The Derby Arms, Epsom Downs

brilliant service in the pub, with most of the staff seeming to enjoy your company. great in the summer with a garden that overlooks the downs, with patio heaters when it does get cold. food is good considering the size of the pub and the price and found that it still holds an authentic feel about it. only problem is that it is quite far from any public service and can sometimes be overcrowded, especially in the summer.

Tattenham Corner, Epsom Downs

quality pub in the summer, with plenty of room in the gardens with a fanstastic view over the epsom downs and part of london. the pub is well catered for families, with a big play area for the kids. however the beer is quite dear and they can have a shortage of staff sometimes, but generally worth a night out here.

The Skylark, Croydon

typical weatherspoons pub, good selection of ales, beers, lagers etc but as with every weatherspoon staff just see themselves as there to pour the drink, very rude when asking for I.D as if it is an offence to look young. plenty of space both up and down stairs, but is pakcedo n the weekends. worth a try if your in the area

The Mint, Banstead

done out in an old fashioned way, but few seats and tables. had to wait for quite a long time for a drink, since there was only one person on the bar. it's good in it's own way, but too far out of the village to get to by walking or bus and quite dear.

The Eagle, Croydon

i was with the fella who wrote the review below at the same time and he is right. no stella, carling or any of the usual suspects just john smith or bottled crap. very quiet, no music and the bar man looked like he had just been dragged off the street and stuck behind the bar. not a good pub.

The George, Croydon

always packed, very hard to get a seat anywhere. bar staff treat most people with 'i don't wanna be here' attitude. there is a nice selection of beers, ales etc all at a good price, but for atmosphere i would rate this very low. only go in for a quick pint after work, not for a night out.

O'Neill's, Wallington

dead quiet most of the time. hardly any beers on offer and when they are the bar staff can't seemed to be bothered to change the barrels so your left with carling, carling or carling. bogs are well below standard even after a heavy night drinking. may as well take the extra 30 second walk to the john jakson up the road.

Whispering Moon, Wallington

been in here a number of times when there is a large group of us, so i have experienced no hassle. but if your on your own and happen to look at someone the wrong way then chances are your in for it. better pubs in wallington, but the prices for the drinks is what draws the crowds.

John Jakson, Wallington

quality pub within throwing distance of buses and trains which makes gives it an added bonus. good atomosphere on the weekends. good for when football or other major sports are on as the place gets packed with people having a good time. worth a quick pint if in the area.

The Woodman, Woodmansterne

place is friendly enough, with good selection of food. nice garden for in the summer, but be wary if you are not from around the area

The Ship, Croydon

as the review says below, great place to come for a friendly relaxed pint. staff make you feel welcome and have a chat to you which makes you feel comfortable enough to spend the evening in here. never any trouble, top place.
