The Hope and Anchor, Hornsey

GREAT pub for the footy! All fans are welcome - Gooners, Reds, Blue-noses, even Man City supporters!

During most games the bar staff serve sausages, chicken drumsticks, potatoes, etc at half time or in between games.

Only criticism would be that it gets really smoke filled. This doesn't put me off going, but looking forward to when it's smoke free next June.

The Bricklayers Arms, Shoreditch

Agree with the other reviewers. This place is really terrible. The beer is nearly always off (the pipes clearly need a good clean or replacing). AVOID THIS PUB.

The Nobody Inn, Doddiscombsleigh

Stop here enroute to Devon. What a fabulous establishment! Had a wonderful pint of porter and an equally tasty ploughmans lunch with very generous portions of cheese. Service was first class and extremely friendly. A great place to soak up the beautiful Devonshire countryside, whilst taking care of a first rate brew!

The Strawbury Duck, Entwistle

This pub is just fantastic. The food on offer is fabulous, with beer to match, and excellent service. Went here Boxing Day eve 2005 when the place was virtually empty. Staff were all ready to close up but were happy to serve until we'd had our fill. Can't rate this pub highly enough.

Orgasmic Caf, York

The outside terrace is a great place to chill on a Sunday afternoon. Great views of the river. Apart from that, it's your usual chain establishment done well.

The Last Drop Inn, York

Great little pub this one. A fine selection of ales, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. One of York's little gems.
