The Seven Stars, Chancery Lane

This place is very special indeed. Great bar staff and best management (TOM!!!). Best time to go:
week-ends!

Sadly it is expensive like most pubs in central London but it is very enjoyable indeed

The Star and Garter, Manchester

This is one of my fav places in the world, esp. on a Saturday- the indie night (smile) is outstanding.
boddington's or double and whiskey/coke are highly recommended.

great staff, excellent djs (if you like indie, make sure you check out smile with andy woods)

The Flowerpot, Camden

Love live indie music, love flowerpot. This is primarily a music pub. Kids come from Sweden and all over town just to hang out and check out some cool new bands.

Great staff, excellent music. Free gigs. Reasonable prices (3 whiskey/mixer).
Comfy sofas, friendly (polite and respectful) door security.

this is my favourite music pub in london

The Dublin Castle, Camden

legendary music venue. great for bands, good crowd, friendly staff. only criticism: prices are too high

The Hawley Arms, Camden

ok, if you are lucky, you have an amazing and fun time. i would not recommend this as a regular spot though. the staff are fun and cool but could learn a bit from california. some kid dared to criticise one of the bands and got kicked out by the bar supervisor. everyone kinda thought that it was embarrassing. food is pretty good. prices are standard for camden (i.e. too high)
