The Hare and Hounds, Hebden Bridge

Now changed hands and the food has improved somewhat. Still learning about the cellar so not gauranteed a good pint every time. llovely pub and area but it lacks atmosphere somehow despite the blazing fires. when on form a lovely pint of landlord or golden best. room for improvement

Nelsons Wine Bar, Hebden Bridge

only bottled beers, known locally as the gay bar but all are welcome. polite staff.

14 Apr 2008 22:34

Marshalls Bar, Hebden Bridge

run down and full of jobless unwashed - flat beer and stinks . avoid like the plague

14 Apr 2008 22:33

The White Lion, Hebden Bridge

good food but pricey for pub grub. beers are good, nive range of wines and always friendly staff. nice bar area with real fire. dining room is a bit dull

14 Apr 2008 22:31

The Railway Hotel, Hebden Bridge

rough and ready spit and sawdust not for the faint hearted or tourists. good ale

14 Apr 2008 22:29

too foody now. good beer, give the evenings a miss til the food ends

14 Apr 2008 22:26

The Three Pilchards, Polperro

Too many children uncontrolled by their parents in this one. A shame as a nice interior, good beers and okay food. Bring in a well behaved children welcome policy and will visit again

14 Apr 2008 22:22

The Crumplehorn Inn, Polperro

Like all the pubs in Polperro this one has to serve food to make a living. The food was okay for pub grub. this one it is probably the best of the lot for space and sitting out areas. Live music, friendly staff and keeps a good ale.

14 Apr 2008 22:20

The Noughts and Crosses, Polperro

Improved food from our last visit, good beer, The atmosphere was fine but after being in the mill house, draculas castle would feel warm! staff were polite.

14 Apr 2008 22:17

The Old Mill House Inn, Polperro

Completely agree with meggymoon. Good beer but very unfriendly atmosphere indeed. We went in on the quiz night, The question sheets were handed out all aorund us and we were not asked if we wanted to join in. Bar staff were verging on hostile. We wouldnt go in again. Think they need a sign saying NO TOURISTS! Fair enough if they want to keep it local.

14 Apr 2008 22:13

The Blue Peter, Polperro

Good food, good beer, a victim of its own success and very busy in season, The trouble is that in the evenings you often cant get a seat as full of eaters. friendly bar staff, hard working landlord/lady. good music if you can get a seat whcih is rare. Upstairs is dull and drab.

14 Apr 2008 22:08

The Harbour Moon, West Looe

nice pub, more a bar/restaurant than pub, but great window seats overlook the harbour. Nice food, the bistro is excellent. Good beer, outside space for smokers. big screen but the landlord prefers rugby to footy so dont expect all matches to be on.

14 Apr 2008 22:05

The Jolly Sailor, West Looe

gone downhill fast. no food when last down there and lack of interest from bar staff. we went in for the folk music night and couldnt hear them for the bar music. good beers though

14 Apr 2008 22:01

The Admiral Boscarn, East Looe

terrible downstairs. terrible food. Ok if the upstairs beer garden is open for a nice cold lager with a sea view. avoid peak times is full of kids and their kids

14 Apr 2008 21:58

The Ship Inn, East Looe

visit several times each year, find it lacks atmosphere, Bar satff tend to be young and unenthusiastic. We used to go in for big screen sports but they stopped the SKY tv last year so is now off our list.

14 Apr 2008 21:56

The Fishermans Arms, East Looe

Keep trying it keep finding it very 'clicky' tourists are not really welcome.

14 Apr 2008 21:53

The Bullers Arms, East Looe

We visit the bullers every time we go to Looe. We love Skinners ales. Good live music and good bar service. Take it for what it is and enjoy.
