The Green Dragon, Lymm

This isnt your boozers pud in the traditional sense. This is right at the top of the tree when you want really good quality pub food ,in fact im under selling it when i describe it as pub food, its much much better than that. This is worth travelling to if you want a few drinks and some great food.

The Windmill Inn, Carrington

A very dull boozer,id contemplate prozac if you spent anytime here. The landlord has even attempted to charge the sun morning car boot customers for using his car park, even though its completely empty, says more about what he's like than anything else.Hows that for community spirit !

The Mersey Farm, Sale

This has now had a refurb, and a good one too.The indoor play area has gone ,which the kids were,nt happy about, its very designer and i like the way they have enclosed each table to give it that personal touch.Nice varied menu with good service.

I think they should sack whoever runs this pub, took the family in had to clear a table myself then asked to have the table wiped because it was so messy a young girl got a cold wet cloth and couldnt even wipe it properly,so did it myself. However when finally sat down picked up a menu and that too was filthy,so even though i was starvin got up and left....went in the blue raj next door for a curry,it was lovely, nice price too

They must have read this...they have brought back live music on a sat night...great move. This is a very open plan layout of a pub,so if theres a good/bad vibe it spreads quickly.Saturday night is a popular night with the live music and can get a bit conjested, not a pub you'd take your granny to.I like this boozer although there needs to be a stricter code of conduct to stop idiots misbehaving.Decent menu, great service .

The Red Lion Hotel, Flixton

I have been in this pub only twice seemed friendly enough on my first visit .However on my second visit myself and a friend decided to have something to eat, they had an offer of buy two meals for a set price(cant remember how much, but cheap) and would you believe steak was available within this offer, which i opted for.I love my food,am not a fussy eater, but this was the worst steak i ever had,was it steak?i had a quick look for the dog i saw on the way in...nowhere!
seriously though,it was worst than bad,my friend had ordered something else and his was bad too.Im begining to think they somehow deep fried everything in some revolting fat.We both left very quickly and will never return.I should have realised eating there was a mistake when they got someone who seemed a scruffy regular to cook the food, and noone else was eating, the words guinea pig and human spring to mind!
Go there for a few beers they seemed friendly enough, watch the football, but steer clear of the grub.
