The Rose and Crown, Orpington

just been to the rose and crown 2 years after i said i would never go back, as the sun was shining we sat outside in the garden, sorry rubbish dump, ordered food okish but for the price very poor you can get the same from iceland`s a lot cheaper i assume this is where they shop. the drink is served in plastic glasses for outside which is ok although most were using proper glasses outside, then at 9pm we were told to leave as we had children aged 14 and 11 who were sitting quietly in a deserted garden having just eaten dinner i asked if we could have pudding no was the answer as it was past 9pm dont bother with this pub it is in a downward spiral since youngs took over.

The Change of Horses, Farnborough

I use the pub regularly and always find the staff and management very friendly and attentive, the rugulars? are a good bunch, friendly banter at the bar and all putting the world to rights, the beer selection is good Harveys,Abbots, Doombar, Courage best oh and lagers and wine for the ladies. the food is good honest pub grub with local produce used, my wife and 2 kids enjoy the food there and it is reasonably priced, nice garden at back although no children allowed after 9pm unless eating which is a good thing as most pubgoers go to the pub to avoid children i know i do and the wife! overall an excellent traditional pub.

The George and Dragon, Downe

we quite often visit the george with my family wife and 2 children who enjoy the relaxed atmosphere good food and friendly staff and above all good beer for me with harveys, london pride, bass and tim taylors landlord oh they also do lager aswell. The pub still has low ceilings beams and an open fire in winter as for the free sausages they went over 20 years as did the wall separating the bar which made the pub more spacious. Overall this pub is worth a visit on a bus route from bromley and orpington and also near Downe house and Xmas tree farm, there is a quiz night every sunday night and other entertainment at various times .
