The Old Anchor, Twickenham

strongarm : go back to the centre of town if you want your dank drinking den...

This pub is obviously trying its best top stay alive due to the lack of people in pubs these days, by improving conditions for younger and richer customers...

And Davton: yes, you sound too much like a salesman or owner.....

The Pope's Grotto, Twickenham

yes, expect more pubs to start changing into Hotels, etc, as they try to pay their bills on the greatly reduced customers coming in, mainly due to high prices, and having to turn away many who like a 'pint & a smoke' ...

yep, used to be a good pub - now most of us stay away due to bad attitude of manager.... anyone know when it will be 'renamed' ???

yes, last time I was there, they had put a lot more seating around.. and suprising enough, the beer was very drinkable!! - All the 'pulled' ale was out of stock, though... hope it was because of demand!! :D

In case no-one's noticed - this pub has closed down, and has moved everything to the redlion down the road...

there is council planning notice on the door, so we'll have to wait and see what it will become.....

well, if the management etc is looking in, **please** can you get the phone working!!!

to say nothing about the website, while looking nice, it *still* has the **old** details!!

Well, if you think people that go to filthys are 'scum' then you haven't seen the sort of people that goto the other pubs in twickenham!!! - I would value my safety in fithys or redlion much more than the george or 'sorting room' !!!

as for 'no stock' whatever... I have known other places to just say 'aint got none!' - kudos to his resourcefulness!!

note also that the redlion was not 'officially' owned by filthys until today - and it is improving every day...

As someone said, 'dont say they cant do it, unless you have first hand experience of it!!' -it is not that simple!!

And as planeboy said, there was a choice - a new set of flats, new factory or worse... anyone could have bought it... just be thankfull there is a good venue for music saved by them...

well I hope you have improved the qualityof beer and staff.. last time I was there I waited more than 1/2 hour for low quality beer... only two staff serving...

another thing deparateley needed is space - there is a carpark at the back that can be extended into... how about it??

The Robert Peel, Kingston Upon Thames

well, I hope this pub improves, as my fav rock club is 'moving in' !!

- some one said spitfire beer - it will win no awards, but is better than some foamy cr*** !! :)

seriously, if anyone can detail the beer and prices, that would be great.... also have you got 'decent plastic' - I mean the fairly solid ones, that dont crumble if you dont know your strength.. :O

another bit of help needed (webmaster??) is details of all buses.. there will be a lot of lost rockers trying to find thier way home to richmond and further....
