The Queens Head, Piccadilly

Fabulous little freehouse. So glad its no longer a bland Nicholsons. Its a cosey little pub with a good beer selection. There were 5 handpumps with a strong local London presence including Wandle and Portobello Market Porter.

What made the pub for us was the genuinely friendly bar staff who realky go the extra mile

Tiger Tiger, Piccadilly Circus

We were also impressed with the genuine friendliness of the staff abd their willingness to go the extra mile. I will be back

Duke of York, St Johns Wood

Our first pub on our Great Underground pub crawl. The Duke of York is more a restaurant that happens to sell beer. No real ale so had hogarden

Ye Olde Swiss Cottage, Swiss Cottage

This is a fantastic exterior. I would say iconic. Inside slightly worn interior with some very odd characters drinking there

The Minories, Tower Hill

I agree that it is a Wetherspoons style pub.

It's a large pub and would be ideal for a larger group.

I had not a bad hobgoblin here.

Nothing wrong with this pub but nothing memorable either

The Hatchet, Mansion House

I was really disappointed with this pub. Only ale on was Green Kings IPA and the service was lacklustre and disinterested. Will not be going back

The Pelt trader, Cannon Street

The Pelt Trader may not be the prettiest bar in tge City. Housed in an arch underneath Cannon Street tge feel is minimilist.

However as a craft beer bar it has one of the best selections of beer in the City. We had a Konig pilsner and a German dark lager both well kept and at £3.80 for the pilnser fairly reasonable.

The staff are young enthusiastic and jnowledgable about the beer they were serving.

The pizzas they serve are tasty and reasonably priced.

I shall be returning

The Wheatsheaf, Ealing

A lovely cosey backstreet Fullers pub. Do a lovely Spring Sprinter.
Food is good home cooked food. My partner's sausage and mash looked very good and my brocolli bake was not bad. Nice to combine with a visit to the Haven Arms almost next door

The Haven Arms, Ealing

A real hidden gem. Have been twice in less than a fortnight. Friendly staff and a real cosey local vibe to this pub and love the resident dalmation. Looking forward to the quiz night and the Saturday brunch

The Olde George Inn, Shoreham

Stopped here when on a country ramble. Lovely old building with open fire and very friend;y locals. Dartford Wobbler was very popular with our party as was the food (strong emphasis on local game) would recomend

Light Bar, Shoreditch

I was nt impressed with this plce. it felt like a derelict factory or warehouse with a few tables and sofas thrown in.
I felt the food was very poor value ofr money. The beanburger I had tasted lik a frozen one with some gruyere and sweetorn on top 22 for two burgers nd chips, a cider and a beer is expensive
