Nice clean little boozer with good selection of real ales since new licensee took over.
Cosy, warm and inviting. Look out for the summer booze blues and barbeque nights.
Also great pork pies

Nice friendly pub on edge of city, good quality beer with Bass from the jug worth every penny, not as cheap as some but better than most.
Well worth searching out

Recently redecorated with a nice clean bar area, excellent medium sized function room also newly decorated.
Good buffet food at functions.
Beer very well kept with excellent Bass from the jug, licensee passionate about his pub and clientelle, and although not the cheapest beer its worth that little bit more to be able to drink the stuff, unlike some locals which sell pickling vinegar on draught!!!!
Previous comments are a tad negative but just ask the regulars why they keep on going back.
Please dont miss this one out try it for yourself.

Just as good as the standing order, better suited to the slightly quieter older group. Typical Wetherspoons fayre.

No longer a pub, private residence.. Owner only got a smal fridge so no point calling for a beer.

The Wynnstay Arms Hotel, Machynlleth
Excellent food, cooked by a top notch chef, be prepared to pay but its well worth it.
Dont be fooled by its apparent empty appearance theres loads of room out back in the lovely dinind room.
Posh nosh at a decent price.
Wine selection better than its beer though.

Really good food, average beer, and a very small and cramped pub, more leaning to being a restaraunt. But always warm and cosy, adviseable to book if your going for a special meal.

Really has detiorated over last 18months, hardly ever busy, and now very clicky with the few welsh speaking locals. All in all a cold athosphere and reception. Some times do food if staff can be bothered.

The Skinners Arms, Machynlleth
Good honest decent and reliable pub food, probably the best in town. Usually a couple of real ales as well as a good selection of other drinks.
Warm but a little dark, seating for abot 24 in dining area, traditionanal bar to other side.

Great locals boozer, if the doors shut its to keep the riff raff out, thats how much Dave thinks of his regulars, knock the door and your in to some fine ales, great friendly atmosphere and a spotlessly clean pub. Best pub in the area a ust for real ale buffs.

Fabulous backstreet boozer completely unspoilt, great banter , great hosts, great beer and a strong suggestion of ghosts.Must be worth searching out in anybodys books.
