The King and Tinker, Enfield

Hadn't been here for years and was underwhelmed last time: How things have changed: On a freezing Saturday night the pub was warm and welcoming with a good selection of beers including beautifully served hobgoblin Gold.

The pub is very dog friendly

They ran out of beer at 9.30pm on a Saturday night: That's all you need to know

Crown and Horseshoes, Enfield

A nice pub with a welcoming atmosphere, good food and a decent range of well kept beer- I don't go there as often as I should, one of the best pubs in the Enfield Town area

popped in for their "beer festival" which proved to be a huge disappointment- 12 additional bottled beers of types regularly stocked by Weatherspoons is not a beer festival. the latest refurbishment has replaced the strange Stonehenge style furniture with much more comfortable seating- the ambience is nice, although the video screens remain intrusive.

The main issue with this pub remains the inconsistent quality and availability of beer- only two beers on tap, and both had a strange tang to them. Until that is resolved, you are better off at the Old Wheatsheaf, Rose and Crown or the Moon under Water. If they could sort out the beer and put in four or five extra handpumps, this would be a great pub.

this used to be a nice local with a fine restaurant above it: It has just been refurbished into a beerless hole for pretentious twats.

The owners clearly want to run a wine bar, not a pub.
If you want real ale, the Old Wheatsheaf and Crown and Horseshoes are close by and offer a much pleasanter environment.

The Cock, Broom

Great pub, lovely unspolit interior of small rooms; great beers and friendly and hardworking staff. Soon to become a free house.

It has original pub games such as cheeses.

Well worth a visit

The Lord Nelson, Barnet

What a pub should be, full of character, excellent beer and a warm welcome from the staff.

add to that a cat sleeping on the bar and you have perfection

The Wonder, Enfield

The new landlord and landlady have maintained the standards of this pub; the best in the Enfield area by miles

pretentious and expensive. Only one real ale (green king ipa), cheaper alternatives within easy reach.

noisy and intrusive music

The Wonder, Enfield

A wonderful pub- recently started serving non Mcmullens guest ales although the McMullens brews are well kept.

As the good beer guide says- a gem

Jolly Butchers, Enfield

Good friendly pub with a great Art Noveau exterior. well kept range of Mcmullen ales (AK is particularly good).

food is good value and tasty

The quiz on Thursdays can be intrusive if you are not taking part.

massive improvement from years ago when it was run by miserable sods.

no beer- nuff said

Refurbishment tastefully done, but the seats are uncomfortable. The large video screens and loud music are obtrusive.

Limited range of beer: only Theakstons XB and Green King IPA: the latter is very poorly served- tasting soapy

Whilst it is good to have this pub back, it could have been so much better- the owners should visit the Pembury in Hackney to see how it should be done.
