The Mortimer Arms, Bloomsbury

One of the cheapest places i've found. Beer and spirits is ridiculously cheap. Watched the footie many-a-time (get there early of you'll be standing all night). Cheap drink just makes up for the fact that your sitting in a dive. dark dingy place with bashed up seats. Another place where the "locals" are served first no matter how long you've been there - but i guess thats how things work so its ok.

The Bar at tcr, Tottenham Court Road

Don't know what it was like b4 being the pint pot. The food in here is cheap (2for1 meals etc) but is totally crap. Most of it comes out cold to you. The prices are alright in general but the atmosphere is so stale i can never seem to stay for more than one drink.

The Marlborough Arms, Tottenham Court Road

Only recently been going to this place... preferred other pubs like the fitzroy or risingsun. All in all its OKish. The prices are good compared to most, foods alright (not great) and u can sit out if u like. Staff all seem good too. Understand that the conneisseur might not like it but its ok for a pint after work

Fitzroy Tavern, Fitzrovia

Not sure about this place. Inadequately understaffed even at peak times, it'll take you an age to get a drink. No big-brand beers but thats ok as the quality is good. Great to sit outside in summer, but inside can seem a bit of a dive. Even so i've spent a few good evenings there. Worth a look in

The Rising Sun, Tottenham Court Road

This place is a gem compared to the "trendy" bars you'll find in nearby soho. Agree with the others that you can almost always find a seat, also its got a good selection of drinks and the foods good value too. Perfect place if your looking for a pub for a pint and somewhere quiet enough so you can hear each other speak
