a mid week visit, and the place was packed and this was before the holiday season started, glad i booked a table, anyway the badger beer was very good, the food was good and service very good.i admire the landlord for his right to allow whoever he chooses to have in his pub,and it is correct that by law nobody under 14 is allowed in the bar area.

we was recomended to try this place as the landlord was a nice chap,we did not meet him which was a shame as we could have told him what dive it was, they should have a swear box they would fill it every night, also the landladys attitude was if you cant beat them join them.
