The City Retreat, Holborn

Enjoyed apint in here recently, Used to visit when worked in city and forgot what a littly gem it is. Still got the carpet floor and old 'pub' feel, proper local in the city. Warm welcome from woman behind bar who chatted away with me before lunch customers took her attention. Would definitely come back.

The Devonshire Arms, Marylebone

Popped into this pub fri night heading to Marylebone. Found it quite busy with standing room only, staff efficient and friendly. Would come back when less busy just to check out portraits of all previous Earls of Devonshire and to try a pie. Beer overpriced but it is Marylebone so won't expect to pay less for decent pint.

The Square Tavern, Euston

visited the square last night had a nice reception,staff were well educated on their drinks (whisky selection is fab) and a great atmosphere, spoke to the manageress and there is going to be a refurb very soon, much needed ,looking forward to the new look
