The Devonshire Arms, Kensington

Notwithstanding being the closest pub to where I've lived for the past 2 years, it has never become my local.. 'nuff said
(with more care, character and better ales & food it could be a lovely pub: it's a cute location..though I guess it's very profitable as it is..)

The Shakespeare, Victoria

I had lunch and a swift half of speckled hen yesterday - ale in v. good condition. Pride on pump too plus another guest ale I think.
Pie of the day was piping hot (too hot? well i don't work for health and safety so..) and a large portion.

The place looks different from the dump it used to be, must have been renovated. Nice place to sit down for a bit and get off the buzz of the area.

I agree with all comments below - well worth a visit. Or 10.
Very curious to try the food.
