Popped in on the way to the Surprise (footy on tv). Had a really nice pint of a welsh brewery- Cwych?. Will definately make a return visit.

Went to watch Wolves v Chelsea FA Cup match with my son. Friendly boozer and reasonably priced beers. Decor looked a bit tired but otherwise comfortable.

Called in today for the first time. Nice decor and a range of real ales. I had Shere Drop which I did when charged £4.30 for it.

Aaargh! What's happened to this place? Years ago you could have a reasonably quiet drink (apart from footy on the TV days). Went in last Saturday and there was a "band" playing excessively loudly. I couldn't have a conversation with my friends and the seating at the back of the pub has now been turned into a dining area so couldn't go there either. On the plus side the ESB was top notch although a bit pricy.

Can't quite make out the decor but good to see the Twickenham Ales and surprisingly not too overpriced.

Can anybody tell me which brewery owned this pub in the 70's? I'm sure it was Watney's but then it could have been M&B ?

Blimey,
It's been shut for weeks undergoing a major refurb, must have found a load of shit left from the old place! Bloated Mallard = Inflated prices!

Used to drink here a lot in the early '80's as the Blucher was keg, Heaving on a Friday and Saturday( no, not that type of heaving). Havn't been for a while as I've moved to Hampton but the R70 stops right outside maybe I'll start again

First went in here in 1981 when it was a very smokey Keg pub and scored 0/10 on my list. Seen many changes over the years and is now an excellent venue. Staff very friendly and will lend you a Santa's Hat when you need one!

Blimey! Used to drink in here '72-'76 when I was at Lanch Poly( now something different). Only choice of beer in those days was Watney's or something equally bad-keg no doubt! Used to be a Chinese on the way back to Lanch and never quite sure if it was the beer or the food which ended up out of the window later!

Excellent range of beers and always well-kept. My favourites were Hop Back's Red Ember and Shepherd Neame's Amber Ale. Cheery service from the 'girls' but can get a bit cluttered by the 'locals' at the bar.

The only reason I go in here is because it's next door and it's 2.50 for Pride. After tonight I probably will never go in again. Smelled worse than an old peoples home- it really stank of rank piss- and I got served a pint with an inch of froth. Can get chavvy on summer Friday nights, but that won't bother me any more as I'll be off to the Roebuck-it might be old but at least it doesn't smell like it!
