Best (only) pub in EC4. Can be too laddish if money brokers are in, but plenty of alternatives if that is the case.

The Beaten Docket, Cricklewood
The Oct review made me piss myself. Although I'd seen "The restaurant" from the Pink Rupee a very good Nepales restaurant next door. I think this is the best pub for miles around in terms of value for money and friendliness.

If you are going to any pub in Cricklewood, this is the place to go. Friendly clientele, family atmosphere (daytimes) and well kept cellar. Worth travelling for. I've only seen a set of musicians like this in the corner house in Ardara in Donegal, so well worth the visit.

Bit gloomy but service is reasonable. It shows the signs of having management who at least try, unlike the appalling Cross Keys.

It can be a little "laddish" in a non-confrontational way and it is too small so it can be uncomfortable if crowded, but otherwise a decent enough pub.

If you like pubs where they staff start cleaning and putting the stools on the table before closing time then this is the place for you. It is so small that if it was well run it would be rammed so I suppose the lack of hospitality and management is of no consequence. Avoid at all costs.

The Alliance, Kilburn
I am amazed at the most recent comment about the Alliance being a "racist" pub. What a load of ********. quite a few Black lads and ladies go in there and the Chef is black!
