Blooming expensive and in need of a refurb. Staff seem disheartened when you ask for a drink

I went into the King's Head the other day. Well it's changed abit.
The pub was clean and tidy, A lovely lady behind the bar and lunch was good.
Met the manager who was polite and chatty which was a nice suprise as in so many pubs they just stand at the end of the bar ignoring customers. Also another plus about this place is they let dogs in (if well behaved and clean). One of the locals had a lovely german shepard. Will be going back!

What a nice pub, And what a warm welcome i got from the landlord (I think it was the landlord (The older fatter bloke with grey thinning hair? I think he was called Chris)). The Harveys was tasty and i had the game and bacon pie out in the lovely huge beer garden.
The food is good and the beer was the cheapest within Steyning and Upper Beeding.
Next time i'm down that end of the woods i will pay them another visit!

The Royal Oak, Poynings
The Royal Oak is Royally overpriced. Kids serving the tables and tiny portions. Go down the road to the Shepard and Dog. Better food, Drink, Location and it's abit cheaper.
