The Shambles, Whitby

Mmmm.... I know it was the goth weekend at the time of my visit so was busy, but the staff were surly, miserable and downright ignorant. As for cleanliness, well, the toilets were disgusting and the whole place looked like it could do with a good clean up. The only redeeming factor was the tiny but very picturesque balcony.

The Leeds Arms, Scarborough

Made my annual pilgrimage with my southern friends to the Leeds. Tim Taylors and ' Spooky' were superb as was the whole pub, again...I really don't know what some of these people want, perhaps they should all stay in Wetherspoons, cheap crap beer for cheap, crap people.

The Tap & Railway, West Moors

Running dog, you need to change your glasses! As I wrote last time, I don't wish to make the managers or the staff of the Tap look bad and I put the onus on Spirit & Punch and their food managers.

Went here tonight and can honestly say this was the blandest food I have ever had!! I don't wish to make the managers or staff look bad because this this is just another c*** 'Spirit' pub. New owners ( Punch Taverns- same s***), get rid of your 'food managers' and employ someone with some imagination!!(and tastebuds!!!) Beer wasn't bad though (Ringwood 49er)

Duke of York, Whitby

Called in at the weekend and had Landlord- A1. The manager can be a miserable sod though....no offence, you may be ready for a holiday. Top pub!!

The Big Angel, Whitby

Got to agree, this is an awful pub.

The Leeds Arms, Scarborough

Cracking- a proper pub. Yes its full of locals, but always made welcome. I went in this weekend with a bunch of southerners from Bournemouth (showing them the true north) and introduced them to Timothy Taylors- A1, and Ginger Whinger. All sad when we had to leave. Full of real people not like the richard heads you get at The Square & Compass in Worth Matravers.

The Globe Inn, Weymouth

Possibly the best pub in town. Beer always good, welcome always friendly.
