The Townhouse, Leamington Spa

Last comment is clearly not with the concensus, but don't blame the current owners. This was once a nice pub with great real beer and good music but was ruined by the last lot.

Robbins Well, Leamington Spa

Bad point (and it's a biggy): Everything in this pub is sticky. Avoid touching tables, doors, bars, anything really.

Good points: sometimes there's some great live music. Every Wednesday is pound a pint AND live bands, both rareties in this town.

Lounge, Leamington Spa

Relaxed atmosphere but generally pretty average. Watch out for live acoustic music on Thursdays, it's usually good and occasionally excellent

The Willoughby, Leamington Spa

Bad, bad towny pub. Cheesy and chavvy.

Moo Bar, Leamington Spa

Pretentious and cliquey, no decent beer, totally outclassed by the White Horse just up the road. Was sort of cool once but now pointless.

The Zetland Arms Hotel, Warwick

Nice pub, good beer, gorgeous garden.

The Great Western, Warwick

Average beer really, but quite a nice pub with a nice garden. Live music is often pretty good and sometimes excellent. Watch out for GW Fest in July, sure to be a great day of live music, beer and sausages.

The Millwright Arms, Warwick

Quite a nice pub really. Big garden, nice beer (Deuchars, Black Sheep, Adnams...), just head straight for the snug, it's much nicer than the main bar.

The Simple Simon, Warwick

5 points, every one for the excellent beer.

The White Horse, Leamington Spa

Amazing transformation from its previous existence, the Horse is classy and has an excellent range of beers - some cask ales and a nice range of good european lager. Decent outside area and usually excellent music; last time I was there we were treated to Bowie, Ben Folds, Beck, acoustic Smashing Pumpkins...
