A classy pub with a homely restaurant area. The food is superb and the staff are great.

The Hampshire Bowman, Dundridge

Lovely and in the country. great food and a nice pub looking restaurant area.

18 Jan 2008 18:33

The Horse and Jockey, Curbridge

A nice classy pub with a fun quiz

Blush, Cheltenham

Although I was fairly drunk when I was in here, I had a great time. Music was great and was busy

18 Jan 2008 18:30

Yates's, Bournemouth

Nice in the summer when you can sit outside

18 Jan 2008 18:29

Walkabout, Bournemouth

I have had many fun nights here. Is a small Walkabout to the one im used to but is good if you go with some good friends so you can dance. Floors can get a bit sticky tho so watch out for that

The Moon in the Square, Bournemouth

A great place to spend a summer afternoon when they open the front windows so you can let the breeze wash over you. Other than that it is the same as any Wetherspoons and a great place to start a night out

18 Jan 2008 18:27

The Consortium, Bournemouth

Very different from the rest of Bournemouth- i/e not cheesy. but it can get very very busy at weekends and student nights

18 Jan 2008 18:25

Bliss, Bournemouth

Great if there are some drinks offers on otherwise it can get expensive. Love the fact it has two floors so you can choose what kind of music you want to dance to

18 Jan 2008 18:25

Bar Med, Bournemouth

Packed and grotty.

18 Jan 2008 18:24

Bar Me, Bournemouth

I only ever go in here as a starter bar as it has lots of different shots. other than that I would give it a miss

18 Jan 2008 18:23

The Highfield, Portswood

A small but friendly pub. Not usually a lot going on but good to go to of an evening to chill

18 Jan 2008 18:16

Dolphin, Botley

I love it here. Great service. quite a local pub but being a hungry horse there is cheap food and you cant leave without trying the pudding challenge.

18 Jan 2008 18:14

The Big Cheese, Bitterne

Not a great pub but cheap huge meals if you live locally

18 Jan 2008 18:13

Walkabout, Southampton

A great place to get cheap yet yummy food in the day, a big range of cocktails and other drinks, huge selection of music and a fun night out.

18 Jan 2008 18:12

The Standing Order, Southampton

A good starting place for a night out but is so overshadowed by The Giddy Bridge (another Wetherspoons) which offers the same offers.

18 Jan 2008 18:11

The Square, Southampton

Dirty and empty on weekdays and too packed at weekends where you have to wait and hour to get to the bar

18 Jan 2008 18:10

Que Pasa, Southampton

The best place for cocktails! Such a huge range that it takes me most of the night to choose. Plus they often hav 2-4-1 offers on. I love the interior and the music is great- a great range. there are also different themed nights with the focus of salsa which makes it stand out from other places in town

18 Jan 2008 18:09

The Old Fat Cat, Southampton

Dark dreary and expensive rubbish food

18 Jan 2008 18:07

Jumpin Jacks, Southampton

What a place! So cheesy and so much fun. Themed nights and classic tunes. Drinks are cheap on a Friday night with 1.50 offers but on Saturday they are horrific, with the cheapest drink being 3.50.
Great for lots of crazy dancing tho and singing along

18 Jan 2008 18:07

Jongleurs / Bar Risa, Southampton

The comedy booked in here is always top class and usually well known people. The only downside is that it can be expensive to get in and drinks are not cheap either.

18 Jan 2008 18:05

Goblets, Southampton

Can get busy at weekends but check out their crazy selection of vodka shots. A must if you're on a bar crawl

18 Jan 2008 18:04

The Giddy Bridge, Southampton

Good service, good food, good drinks offers. I love this Wetherspoons! Very popular with students but a great place to hang out. Is nice in the summer to sit on the roof and watch the world go by.

18 Jan 2008 18:03

The Spitfire, Southampton

Cheap drinks promos a lot of the time and outrageous merchandise that can really make a night out. But it is either dead in here or completely rammed.

18 Jan 2008 18:02

The Cork and Bottle, Southampton

Good starting pub for a crawl around southampton and good if you live in the surrounding area. Unusual building and a good place to talk before a big night out

18 Jan 2008 18:00

The Bridge, Southampton

Good place to watch all the sport but it is small and can get busy when matches are on. Better in the evenings when its low key

18 Jan 2008 17:59

Apartment 26, Southampton

Perhaps Southampton's most classy place. Is good on a weekday for a catch up with friends but it packed at the weekends and the drinks prices are horrendous.

The Tollhouse Inn, Lymington

A nice find! Stopped off here when lost in the New Forest one day. Not the best pub I've been to but a nice range of food and open fires which made it very cosy. Good service.
As I went here around Christmas time it was beautifully decorated which made it feel homely along with the massive open fire in the food section

18 Jan 2008 17:48

The Maypole Inn, Hayling Island

Went here around Christmas time and loved the open fires- so cosy. The service was really friendly and the food was delicious and not too expensive. Reasonable range of wines too.
Easy to reach from Portsmouth.

18 Jan 2008 17:46

The Brushmakers Arms, Upham

Very difficult to find but a real treat once found!
I would recommend going in the summer so you can sit in the garden. Otherwise it is very crowded inside, plus the garden has great views over the country side-great if you consider how close it is to Southampton.
The food was delicious and there was a wide range to choose from, ranging from the usual pub food to some dishes more extravagant. A huge price range as well.
Very much enjoyed my afternoon in the country at this pub.

18 Jan 2008 17:45

The Wheel Inn, Pennington

For a pub in the New Forest I was surprised to find this one empty. Still went in. Food was good and home made but quite expensive considering the competition in the area.

The Trout, Itchen Abbas

Both bar and restaurant areas. Food served in both. Good range of food and fast service. Very reasonably priced. Book the restaurant in advance because it can get busy.
