The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting

interesting that you were able to sit in the sunshine in the beer garden ... it's got high walls around it letting in little light let alone sunshine and an enormous tree from the property next door blocking even more light

The Antelope, Tooting

The Antelope, Tooting

is this place really closing down in two weeks - to be re-furbed and taken over by the Antic Group (who have the Tooting Tram and Social)?

The Canterbury Arms, Brixton

Well worth a visit before going the Academy - had an awesome night in there before and after The Specials on Monday night this week. Great bar staff and reasonably priced. Well recommended

The Trafalgar Arms, Tooting

Plasticpaddylady and loulou21 - how incredible you both (if indeed you aren't the same person) have only ever commented on this one pub on this website and - those comments are on the same day .... I smell an insider AGAIN!

Still got that nasty smoking area next to the kitchen door that's totally enclosed???

oh the famous KeatsandShelly ... yet again ... rubbish food but I guess you like frozen re-heats ... K&S may as well go to Kiss Me Hardy. The place is dire - toilets are dirty with no locks and invariably no loo paper - if the loos are like that what is the state of the kitchen ... oh and the lovely little smoking room at the back right next to the kitchen. Says it all charming!

The Castle, Tooting Broadway

distinctly average for a Youngs pub ... expensive, brightly lit, and grubby. Much better run Youngs pubs nearby.

Prefer The Kings Head up at Tooting Bec nowadays though. Superb since the re-fit etc.

The William Morris, Merton Abbey Mills

reasonable pub in a fantastic location ... expensive though. Interesting selection of drinks to be had. Can get very hectic in the warmer weather especially at weekends.

Kiss Me Hardy, Colliers Wood

Shameless springs to mind ... rotten place - avoid at all costs

Had a great meal here last week in the evening - great place and the new management seem to be doing a great job. Loved the Pinot Grigio Blush - very tasty and went very well with my pizza and salad!

Great staff, even though they screwed up the ordering of one of our party but they were super apologetic about it, dealt with it swiftly and provided a complimentary glass of wine.

Thoroughly recommended, was busy too for a Wednesday evening only a couple of tables free!

I like the bar staff and they are always friendly and smiley!

The place could do with a clean and the loos are simply awful.

The Grove Tavern, South Wimbledon

The Grove, South Wimbledon now under new management.

Looking forward to seeing The Mothers of Memphis at The Grove on Saturday 21st February. Free Admission.

Can't rate it yet as it's under new management - looking forward to seeing how it is these days!

Once great boozer sadly rubbish these days. Some dreadful clientele. Some bar staff are great, some are hideously rude (sue!). Give it a miss plenty of other pleasant watering holes in the area ... The Manor for example

The Little House, Tooting

local pub for local people. I really like it. Great staff too. Joe the pub dog is a beauty.

Dire place, small bottle of magners is 3.00 - toilets are disgusting never any loo roll and always messy. The comedy night is supposed to be fun though.

Rehab, Colliers Wood

Big fan of this lovely venue. Looks tiny from the outside but is in "reality" a tardis! The pizzas are absolutely magnificent and the staff are efficient and friendly. A lovely place will be going back regularly!

The Selkirk, Tooting

All round superb boozer. The food is excellent, the choice of drinks is great. Staff always friendly - the place is spotless. Always a good atmosphere. It's simply BRILL!

The Spirit Bar Cafe, Tooting

Great place, always a great atmosphere. Very friendly efficient staff. The outside tables are the traditional pub tables now. Great venue for catching sport on the tv and having a good laugh with the locals.

The Trafalgar Arms, Tooting

Positively dreadful. The female toilets are a disgrace, filthy dirty, when flushing the loo the water rushes out from the bottom - gross! Holes kicked into the plasterboard walls, one hand dryer and one sink for three cubicles - the place could be condemned alone for the state of those toilets. The building work is v.messy and not cleaned up properly before opening time. What was once a fabulous pub has rapidly gone downhill. I sincerely hope the building works mean it's changing hands and will be run properly like it used to be.
