The Bull, Shepperton

There are new catering arrangements at this pub and it is now serving breakfast 7 days a week (I enjoyed one there recently which was excellent value for money. The rest of the menu is traditional fayre and competitively priced. Continues to be a little bit hit and miss on occaisions but the Bombadier is generally up to scratch. Worth a re-visit if you've been disappointed before.

The Beehive, Englefield Green

Was in there on the Saturday afternoon for a CAMRA social. Ian the landlord very pleasant. An excellent selection of Fullers beers including Gales HSB as well as Discovery which was in tip top condition. I also sampled the Ossett Pale Gold which was lovely. Food prices look very attractive and the menu seems to cater for most tastes. It was a little on the quiet side so I agree with some other reviewers to give this pub your support.

The Queens Tavern, Shepherds Bush

This place is now almost fully refurbished after spend ing some years in the doldrums. It is decked out in glorious Blue and White for the local Queens Park Rangers team. Note on Match Days this is open to Home Fans ONLY. Two dart boards are available and lots of live sport available on the multiple TVs. The darts team play on Thursdy evenings during the summer(I'm an occasional member). A function room/second bar is being constructed and will be open in the next few weeks. Well done to the team.

The Happy Man, Englefield Green

Current North Surrey Camra Pub of The Year for 2008. An excellent gem of a pub. Landlord Dave has reinvented the art of real ale of the last few years here. The presentation of the award coincided with a tasting evening for the local Waylands brewery which this pub has also been supporting.

The Queens Tavern, Shepherds Bush

This place is now improving rapidly. Beer is very good the new TVs show all many sporting events especially the racing which is popular with the regulars. Refurbished pool table and new dart board provide added recreational entertainment. Likely to be popular once more when the Football season begins in August. Lagers currently 2.70 a pint very reasonable!

The Barley Mow, Shepperton

Current North Surrey CAMRA Pub Of The Year 2007. Friendly local with 5 guest ales in excellent condition. food served Lunchtimes Monday to Friday none on Saturday and Sunday Lunch between 12pm and 3pm. Jazz nights on Wednesday when food is also availble though this is more hot snack based I believe. Music is also now on Friday and Saturday evening and this is of the Rock n Roll or Blues variety. Governor enjoys his pint of TEA which is the regular bitter. Note it is a good 15 minute walk from the rail station over the motorway though the 218 bus stops at the end of the road.

The Queens Tavern, Shepherds Bush

This place changed hands at end of January 2007 and is now under new managment, though still utlimately governed by Enterprise Inns. Decor is still lacking but the new management have made significant efforts in cleaning. There appears to be new pipework gone in and the toilets are a much better and actually smell fresh! At present sadly there is no real ale available and the aforementioned PubCo has just passed on a 4% price hike deep joy :-( Very much a locals pubs but friendly enough though is usually very busy on Match Day's with the close proximity to QPR.
