The Sheppey Inn, Lower Godney

Brilliant pub. Amazing selection of ale. great location. Pretty much perfect.

The Talbot, Mells

This was a once absolutely wonderful pub, with a cider barn that was just a pleasure to spend an afternoon in. It is now been renovated to attract the wealthy London set, and is ghastly beyond words.

The Three Horseshoes, Batcombe

Excellent pub. Very relaxing place to spend a Sunday afternoon in winter, when the lunch time crowds thin out and the fire is on. Fairly affluent clientele, but they always seem friendly enough. Really excellent pint of Butcombes to be had here too

The Sun Inn, Frome

Fabulous building and location. They need to get rid of the plasma screen TV and attract a less hostile customer demographic though.

George at Nunney, Frome

rather mundane. Not horrible by any means, just quite lacking in atmosphere. Rather tacky decor. Seems popular with the retired demo graph, but I wouldn't call it a 'pub' as such (ie cosy and welcoming atmosphere). Ale ok, but rather pricy.

The Lamb and Fountain, Frome

I only came here once. I liked it though. Friendly staff, chatty locals. I was rather drunk at the time however. It might appear slightly intimidating to a non regular, but it's worth a visit. Amazing building too.

The Seymour Arms, Witham Friary

One of the best pubs in Britain. No kidding. Beautiful location. Really friendly staff. Locals friendly. The cider is very reasonably priced, and very nice. Good ale. I really can't praise this place enough. Long may it never change!!
