Hoochimama's Bar Bistro, Tooting

I think the last poster meant grammar. Never mind.

This place can be a bit intimidating when 3 or 4 regulars who are mates decide to 'large it' and inflict their invective & world views on the rest of the place. It's a pub for all to drink in - not their exclusive club.

Doesn't happen all the time but fairly often.

Reaction you get from staff is a wee bit of a lottery to be honest. From the friendly to the hacked off that you've interrupted their nail-polishing time.

Nice when not busy for a quick cheeky couple.

The Alexandra, Wimbledon

It really isn't as bad as people make it out. It is after all the only uncomplicated and unpretentious pub to drink in in Wimbledon Town. Make an effort with the staff and they will make an effort back - they're only human. It is over-priced - but it's a Youngs so it's a given. It is too smokey - but that will change from next week.

Just a decent, plain boozer. And they are few and far between these days.
